The Self-Organizing Nature of Magnetism

February 20, 20231 min read

Naturally, magnetism is self-organizing. One of the best ways to observe this is with a simple experiment. All you need is a gauss meter, a piece of steel and a high powered magnet. When you take your magnet and place it on the steel, give the magnetic field a "read" with the meter. Then take your reading, make note of it and apply stress to the magnet by tilting it towards the steel. What you will observe with this additional stress is an increase of "density" in the field.

This shows us that magnetic fields respond to applied stress and increase in strength. Interestingly enough, the field and density can change with different materials, but regardless of the material the field still "responds." This is a very important insight because now that we can demonstrate a change in field density, it brings us closer to understanding how we might be able to harness it.

Soon enough we will share something with you that we believe will change the way we power the world. If you haven't guessed it yet, the lesson we just shared with you is a big part of how it works. We appreciate you for taking the time to read and learn with us.
